Similar to the other parts of the upper equatorial lakes region, the Lake Albert Sub-basin also has a bimodal rainfall pattern with competing rainfall amounts. Rainfall amounts recorded in the mountainous area (Mubuku and Kisoro) are seen to have low variations for the individual months as compared to the other areas. The Sub-basin also registers high values for in the 80th percentile indicating high chances of dependence on rainfall for agricultural purposes.
